Welcome to the grandest capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, situated at 1350 m. At TIA, you will be met by a Morning Star Treks representative for your transfer to the luxurious five-star hotel located in the calm, charming prime location of the capital.
Later in the day, you will receive a small introduction about our Everest Base Camp trek 14 days journey. Then our guide will also check your personal gear so you can make any last-minute purchases you like.
Kindly understand, we may have to depart for Ramechhap today at around 1 or 2 AM so we can catch a very early morning Lukla flight from its Manthali Airport. This usually occurs when TIA is overloaded during the high mountaineering seasons of autumn and spring.
The Ramechhap town is approximately 4 hour drive from Kathmandu, for which Morning Star Treks will offer you its private 4 by 4 transfer service.
Activity: Half an hour drive
Max. Altitude: 1,350m/4,429ft. (Kathmandu)
Accommodation: Hotel
Enjoy the gripping morning flight to Lukla when you can see the magnificent outlooks of Langtang, Kanchenjunga, Everest, and Makalu. Once landed, Kongde Ri and our crew will be met, after which luggage distribution will take place.
Now, we will begin the first part of our luxury Everest Base Camp trek, walking mostly downhill towards Phakding. The stone path beside the white currets of Dudh Koshi will carry us forward through Chheplung, Chaurikharka, Thadokoshi, and Ghat to Phakding, where the freshening atmosphere of our high-end lodge welcomes us.
Activity: 20 to 30 minutes flight and 3 to 4 hours trek
Max. Altitude: 2,610m/8,563ft. (Phakding)
Accommodation: Lodge
After our first Himalayan bed and breakfast, we will continue our Mt. Everest base camp trek along the gradually uplifting trail that passes through Zapute, Toktok, Benkar, and Chumoa to Monjo.
Monjo marks our official entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park, where we will register and then continue down towards the Dudh Koshi River.
The path will again uplift us slowly towards Jorsalle, after which we will navigate across the iconic Hilary Suspension Bridge, watching Mount Taboche in the distance.
Surprisingly, the trail now becomes steeper as we climb along the forestry slope of Top Danda (3140 m) and then Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the luxury atmosphere and settings of Namche and Everest.
Activity: 5 to 6 hours trek
Max. Altitude: 3,440m/11,286ft. (Namche Bazaar)
Accommodation: Lodge
We will stay for an extra night at Namche so we can properly prevent altitude sickness, which can be a hazard on our luxury Everest base camp trek.
At Namche, we can see the memorial of Tenzing Norgay and then walk up the slope towards Everest View Hotel (3880 m) to see the Kangtega, Thamserku, Kongde Ri, Everest, Ama Dablam, and Samdur warming up under the bright day sun.
We can then wander and look around in the Namche market and buy some local products and souvenirs.
Max. Altitude: 3,440m/11,286ft. (Namche Bazaar)
Accommodation: Lodge
Now that we have been adjusted to the altitude, we will have a comfortable trek to Tengboche today. This section of the Everest Base Camp trek 14 days trip is very gorgeous and calming with the adorable spectacle of Everest. Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and Lhotse.
The constantly uplifting trail will pass through Kyanjuma and lead us towards an air-suspended bridge. The path across will again rise steeply upward towards 3250 m Phungi Thenga.
After approximately 2 hours ascension, and the mist at Tengboche Monastery welcomes us. If permissible, we will also watch and be a part of the ritual ceremony of the monk at the monastery.

We will leave very early from Tengboche and walk gradually uphill under the shade of high mountains. A one-hour ascent will walk us through Deboche, after which we will cross one more hanging bridge over Imja Khola.
The elevated trail will carry us on for about an hour until we are at the slightly desert village of Upper Pangboche (3900 m). A tiny yet gorgeous monastery here is worth a glance, that had the history of keeping a Yeti Skull.
A pleasant advancing trail will meander through Orsho, Shomare, and Tsuro Wog before we arrive at the coziness of Dingboche resort.
Activity: 5 to 6 hours trek
Max. Altitude: 4,410m/14,469ft. (Dingboche)

After lunch, Everest Base Camp will be our goal to see, for which the left trail from Gorakshep, along the sandy terrain, will climb us up for around 2 to 3 hours.
The Everest Base Camp appears like a tiny, colorful village hiding Everest from our plain sight. However, Khumbu Icefall will be right before our sight with enormous Pumori, Khumbutse, Nuptse, and Lhotse right behind.
We will now get back to our Gorakshep lodge for the adventure that awaits us the next morning.
