Difficulty

Our Everest Base Camp trek 14 days journey, is a level II moderately demanding hiking adventure in the very heart of Everest that doesn’t ask you to be a professional trekker.

The overall walking route back and forth to Everest Base Camp is 130 km, not technical and excessively strenuous, made more comfortable with the presence of high-end lodges up to Dingboche.

The only frequent concern is altitude sickness, but with the placement of the right number of rest days at the right time will make the luxury Everest Base Camp trek accessible to all hiking lovers.

Thus, if you are an average backpacker or globetrotter, our luxury Everest base camp trek will be a perfect fit.

Altitude Sickness/Acute Mountain Sickness/AMS

One big challenge of our Mt. Everest base camp trek is the altitude. The higher you go, the harder it gets, ultimately feeling its effect in physical form, which doesn’t depend on how fit you are.

After crossing the altitude of Namche, you will be continuously exposed to the high Himalayan weather, which contains low oxygen levels. As the body starts to adapt, nausea, headaches, drowsiness, and sleep trouble can be felt.

To minimize the toll of altitude, we have deliberately placed rest days at Namche and Dingboche with the acclimating treks to higher elevations. To further the chances of quick acclimatization, Diamox can be taken from Kathmandu onwards.

For quick relief and prevention, we urge you to give importance to your water intake per day and your pace, of course, which should be gentle.

Preparation and Fitness

You don’t have to be a professional hiker or super fit to get on with our luxury Everest base camp trek. The trail is pretty simple, and you usually walk less than 12 km a day.

You will often spend around six hours on the trail with a light daypack. So your fitness should be able to handle this distance and duration, and you are good to go for our Everest base camp trek 14 days trip.

Still, being fitter means more energy and less tiredness, so we suggest you run a few times a week, bike, jog, or swim for one to two months before your adventure.

You can also extend your physical training through your likeable sports like football and basketball.

Food and Accommodation

True to the name of our trip, we offer you luxury accommodations at every point of our Everest Base Camp trek 14 days trip. In Kathmandu, a luxurious five-star hotel will be ready to welcome you, where you will get utilities that will be above international standards.

The Mt. Everest Base Camp trek route now is fairly developed and commercialized. There are now numerous high-end premium lodges where we will accommodate you.

Here, you can get a private room, hot running water, an ensuite bathroom, WiFi, charging outlets, and fantastic food. However, at Lobuche and Gorakshep, you will need to adjust to the simpler setting.

As for your meals, you will receive breakfast in Kathmandu and three main courses during the trek. Dal Bhat, Momo, pasta, thukpa, Tsampa, fried chowmein, chapati, vegetables, eggs, and porridge, along with some baked items, can be ordered.

However, if you choose our group luxury Everest base camp trek, you can cut down your expenses by a significant amount, as the total cost will be split among other travelers who share the same aim of reaching the Everest Base Camp.
