Pasang Gelje was born and brought up in the Himalayan region, and thus he developed a close attachment with the mountains at a very young age. It is this life time friendship that prompted him to choose a profession in trekking and mountaineering. He acquired practical experience in all levels of work by holding the position of a porter, guide, and expedition leader before starting Morning Star Treks. This experience provides him with a good insight into the needs of clients, safety, and responsible tourism practices.

Pasang Gelje has also led treks in nearly all the major areas of Nepal such as Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Mustang, and other out of the way places. He has the best understanding of trails, weather, altitude, and logistics and therefore the travelers have a safe and comfortable ride.
